With great pleasure and relief, we re-opened our doors on the 8th June 2020.
We are following the new guidelines in place for the provision of dental care during the Covid 19 pandemic. These guidelines advise that currently we should only be treating patients with significant problems, or problems that will deteriorate significantly if they are left untreated.
During the first week of re-opening, we were able to provide treatment to 53 of our patients who have been in pain or experiencing dental problems during the time that we have been closed.
The new guidelines that will be in place until the alert level reduces means that routine dental care that involves anything that may produce an aerosol should be delayed until risk level from Covid -19 has reduced further.
PLEASE DO CONTACT IF YOU HAVE ANY QUERIES REGARDING PROBLEMS THAT YOU MAY BE HAVING WITH YOUR TEETH, MOUTH OR GUMS. WE WOULD MUCH RATHER DISCUSS THINGS WITH YOU AND SEE YOU FOR A CONSULTATION AND ARRANGE APPROPRIATE TREATMENT, THAN HAVE YOU SUFFERING IN SILENCE OR WORRYING THAT YOU SHOULDN’T BE BOTHERING US.
In July we will be able to start seeing patients that are at risk of deterioration from gum disease for hygienist care. A number of our patients receive hygienist care on regular basis to help maintain their gum health and it is important that this gets going again.
We only have 1 dentist working at the practice, we have longer appointment times and are seeing patients strictly by appointment only.

We are continuing to prioritise patients with dental problems and will resume the provision of routine dental care as soon as we are able.
Thank you for bearing with us during this difficult time.
